The Affordable Care Act passed by congress has a provision that will allow those who have a Medicare Part D Prescription program that has reached the doughnut hole, or coverage gap to receive a $250 rebate check.  To qualify you have to have prescription coverage through Medicare Part D, either with a stand alone prescription program or bundled with your Medicare Advantage plan. <p>

The $250 rebate checks will bi issued starting June 15th, 2010 and will continue through the end of the year.

The rebate check will come directly from Medicare, and beneficiaries do not have to complete any eligibility forms or paperwork to get their checks.
