Congress Fails to re-authorize National Flood Program

Once again our congress has failed to pass an extention or a long-term fix for the National Flood Insurance Program through FEMA for the second time this year.  Many Insurance companies write their flood insurance through FEMA and with congress taking recess until June 7th.  During this lapse in the program, no transactions are allowed to happen, no new policies, no renewals.  If your coverage is inforce during this time, it is still valid and you can still file a claim if needed.
